The situation

A deal of several hundred domains, sold and paid for as video. Delivery reports showed impressions, completions and spend, but nothing about what was actually on the page.

What Odyns™ Intelligence found

When we rendered the real pages behind the deal, part of the spend had run on pages where the format that appeared contradicted the video format the deal was sold as. Almost all of it sat on a single domain.

Money at risk in this dealShare of spend
  • Format didn't match the sale$2.8k · 4.6%
  • Exposed to a price gap$1.3k · 2.1%
  • Unauthorised$0 · 0.00%

Pages behind 38% of the deal's spend were checked. Findings apply to that share.

What it makes possible

  • Reroute $2.8k to routes already proven clean on the same inventory
  • Challenge a $1.3k price gap on the rest
  • Hold the partner to the format the deal was sold as

Why it matters

Format is one of the easiest things to promise and one of the hardest to check from a spreadsheet. Seeing the real page turns a feeling into evidence.
